Lying Four is a collection of original stories about golf in the Deep South, from the perspective shared by most golfers: as a mediocre amateur. It’s not a rummage bin of the same recycled news articles that get aggregated by content factories. It’s not a race through some magazine’s Top 100 bucket list resorts. Lying Four is Southern golf, its people, its places, its events, its shortcomings, its perfections, and why they matter.

About the author. Will Bardwell is a civil rights attorney by day and a golf blogger by night. He’s a lifelong Mississippian and a 15 handicap.
